The Events We Cover

We provide event security across every category our clients run. Corporate functions including board dinners, client hospitality, AGMs, product launches, conferences and trade shows, with discreet operatives in business attire who blend with your guest list. Private events including weddings, milestone birthdays and bar and bat mitzvahs, where we run quiet professional cover that protects your family without being visible to your guests. Public events and festivals including ticketed events, music festivals, food and drink festivals and county shows, with SIA-licensed crowd management, search teams, and stage and artist liaison. Sporting events including golf tournaments, polo, racing, cycling events and athletics meets, with course marshalling, VIP and player protection, and crowd flow management. Cultural and creative productions including film and TV shoots, fashion shows, gallery openings, awards ceremonies and music videos, with talent protection, asset security and unit security. We also offer reduced-rate cover for registered UK charities, please ask.

Where We Operate

We are based in the South of England and London is our home market. We deliver event security across London and Greater London from Mayfair, Knightsbridge and Belgravia through Marylebone, Kensington, Chelsea, Battersea, Canary Wharf, the City, Shoreditch and the Olympic Park, where we know the venues, access routes and the local borough licensing teams. Across the South through Surrey, Hampshire, Kent, Sussex, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, covering country house venues, polo grounds and private weddings. Nationally we travel for clients across England, Scotland and Wales, from festivals in the South West to awards in Manchester and Edinburgh and sporting events at Silverstone and Goodwood. Internationally we deploy small teams or work alongside trusted local partners across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and beyond for corporate clients with overseas events.

How We Work

Every event we cover gets the full process, not just operatives on the day. We run a pre-event security survey and risk assessment with a walk-through of your venue, identification of foreseeable risks, and a written plan you can share with your venue, insurers or local authority. We propose manning levels and operative selection based on guest numbers, profile, layout and risk, and you see CVs of the operatives we are proposing. We handle liaison with venue, police and emergency services where required for Martyn’s Law venues and licensed events. Every operative arrives with a written briefing pack covering site map, contacts, access points, escalation procedures and the specific tone you want set. A senior operative runs the team on the day and is your single point of contact through the event. After the event, you get a written debrief covering incidents, near-misses and recommendations for next time, useful for insurance, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, known as Martyn’s Law, places statutory duties on venues and event organisers above defined attendance thresholds. We help our clients understand which tier they fall under, document their preparedness, and demonstrate proportionate measures. If you are running a venue or event that may be in scope, speak to us early. Getting compliance right is far easier in the planning phase than after a regulator visit. We are separately experienced in supporting BS 8593 lone worker risk, HSE event safety guidance, and the Purple Guide for outdoor festivals. Our managing director holds NEBOSH and CPP qualifications, so the safety management piece sits naturally alongside the security side.

Frequently Asked Questions About Event Security

Do I need SIA-licensed security at my event?2026-04-20T18:25:00+01:00

Do I need SIA-licensed security at my event?

Yes - under UK law, anyone providing security services at a licensed venue or carrying out licensable conduct must hold a valid SIA licence. In practice, all of our event security operatives are fully SIA licensed and meet the legal requirements for UK event security.

How many security staff do I need for my event?2026-04-20T18:25:00+01:00

How many security staff do I need for my event?

The number of security staff required depends on the size, type, and risk profile of your event. In practice, as a general guide, a ratio of one security operative per 50-100 guests is a starting point, but a professional risk assessment will determine the right number for your specific event. We always recommend a pre-event security survey.

What is the difference between event security and close protection?2026-04-20T18:25:00+01:00

What is the difference between event security and close protection?

Event security focuses on crowd management, access control, and the safety of all attendees at a venue. Additionally, close protection is a personal service focused on keeping a specific individual safe - often a VIP, executive, or high-profile guest. Many events require both, and our team can provide an integrated solution covering both disciplines.

What does event security include?2026-04-20T18:25:00+01:00

What does event security include?

Event security can include crowd management, access control, bag searches, close protection for VIP guests, emergency planning, communication management, and liaison with local police and venue staff. Importantly, our team tailors the security plan to the nature of your event, whether it is a private function, corporate conference, or large public gathering.
